A manufacturing process with minimal environmental impact. Working with cardboard cores and tubes is environmentally friendly in itself. The raw material, coreboard, is made from recycled paper. But we have decided not to leave our environmental work at that. We strive to do better.

All our production waste is taken care of and returned to the supplier for recycling into new cardboard raw material. The glue used in the process are of different types. One type is sodium silicate, also known as water glass, which is essentially made of a mineral. The other types are Polyvinyl acetate, PVA / polyvinylalcohol, PVAc. The glues are free of phthalates. There is no process water used in manufacturing that could give rise to unintentional discharges into the municipal sewage system. This means we have no discharges to air or water other than those caused by our transportation.

Specially designed packaging solutions for bulky products enable us to make maximal use of space during transportation, which keeps costs down and limits the environmental impact. These factors mean that to a large extent we can fulfil the eco-cycle ideal. All waste is sorted into different fractions before being collected and taken care of in an environmentally sound way.

Scandicore Nordens Pappersindustri has documented quality and environment objectives that are to be fulfilled every year. This imposes demands not only on us but also on our subcontractors, most of which are environmentally certified. Scandicore Nordens Pappersindustri is quality-certified to ISO 9001:2015 and environmentally certified to ISO 14001:2015.
